Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 75711-A1.5Y CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF, 1,5 m, afgeschermd

ShiverPeaks 75711-A1.5Y CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF network cable, 1.5 m, is a shielded Ethernet patch cable designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet environments. The cable features individually foil‑shielded pairs with an overall braided shield (S/FTP) to minimise electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. With a halogen‑free jacket and compliance with industry performance for CAT 6A, this 1.5 m cable provides a compact, shielded connection suitable for short link runs in rack, desktop and patch panel setups.

Advantages

This shielded CAT 6A cable offers improved EMI protection due to foil‑shielded pairs combined with an overall braid, reducing external interference in electrically noisy environments. The PIMF (pairs in metal foil) structure supports high-frequency transmission required for 10 Gigabit Ethernet while maintaining consistent pair geometry for reliable performance. A halogen‑free outer jacket reduces toxic gas emission in case of fire and the short 1.5 m length minimises clutter in dense cabling areas.

Suitable for

• Short connections between switches, patch panels and servers in data centres
• Shielded office network links where EMI is a concern
• Home network points requiring reliable high‑speed connections
• Industrial or laboratory environments with elevated electromagnetic noise

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 6A suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet

• Conductor arrangement: twisted pairs with PIMF construction
• Jacket: halogen‑free outer sheath
• Colour: yellow

How to use

Connect one RJ45 connector of the cable to the Ethernet port of your network device and the other end to the switch, patch panel or router port. Ensure both connected devices support shielded cable termination and that equipment chassis grounds are properly implemented to maintain the effectiveness of the S/FTP shielding. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain minimum bend radius recommended for CAT 6A cables to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal shielding performance, use this cable in fully shielded installations with compatible shielded connectors and grounded patch panels. Avoid running the cable in close parallel with high‑voltage power lines; where crossing is necessary, do so at right angles. For longer runs or permanent horizontal cabling, consider planning cable length and pathway to meet CAT 6A installation guidelines.
