Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 5m Cat7 S/FTP wit

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 5m Cat7 S/FTP White networking cable is designed for reliable high-speed data transmission over home and office networks. This Cat7 cable supports multi-gigabit Ethernet connections and features S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors are fitted to ensure a stable physical connection and improved conductivity. The 5 meter length provides flexibility for routing between devices while the white jacket offers a discreet appearance that blends into modern interiors.

Advantages

The cable's S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded twisted pairs, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple electronic devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs minimize contact resistance and corrosion risk, promoting longer-term reliability. The Cat7 standard enables higher bandwidth and improved performance compared with lower-category cables, making it suitable for demanding network tasks. A 5 m length balances reach and reduced excess cable, simplifying cable management.

Suitable for

• Connecting routers, switches and patch panels in home and small office networks
• High-bandwidth applications such as 4K/8K video streaming and online gaming
• Multi-gigabit Ethernet setups and LAN wiring where shielded cabling is preferred
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference from other equipment

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 5 meters
• Color: White
• Conductor material: Copper (solid or stranded depending on manufacturing batch)

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the network ports of your devices until they click into place. Use the 5 m cable to connect switches to routers, computers to network ports, or patch panels to active equipment. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and heavy compression; maintain gentle curves and secure with cable ties or clips if needed to prevent strain on the connectors. For optimal performance, keep the cable routed separately from high-power electrical lines that may cause interference despite the shielding.

Recommendations

For best results, verify device capabilities and network hardware support for multi-gigabit speeds. When installing in mixed-cable runs, keep shielded cables properly grounded where appropriate. Replace cables showing visible damage, exposed conductors, or loose connectors to maintain connection quality.
