Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 2m rood U/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 networking cable is a 2 meter U/FTP Ethernet cable finished in red with RJ-45 connectors on both ends. It is designed to provide high-speed data transmission and improved signal integrity through its U/FTP (unshielded overall braid with individually foil‑shielded pairs) construction. The cable is suitable for connecting routers, switches, network interface cards and other Ethernet-enabled devices in home, office and gaming setups where a compact cable length and visible color are preferred.

Advantages

U/FTP shielding reduces crosstalk between individual wire pairs and improves resistance to external electromagnetic interference compared to unshielded cables. The Cat7 specification supports high data rates and improved performance for demanding applications. The 2 m length offers a balance between flexibility and reach while the red jacket provides easy identification in cable bundles or behind equipment. Standard RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with a wide range of networking hardware.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops and workstations to routers or switches
• Wired gaming setups where stable low-latency connections are required
• Streaming and media devices that need reliable high-speed links
• Office network patching and short-run installations

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding type: U/FTP (overall braid with foil‑shielded pairs)
• Length: 2 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Red

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your source device (for example a router, switch or network card) and insert the other connector into the target device. Ensure connectors are fully seated to engage the latch and establish a reliable physical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and pinch points; maintaining gentle curves helps preserve shielding and conductor integrity. For best performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with high-power electrical lines that may cause interference.

Recommendations

Use the ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 2m in short-run applications where a shielded cable is preferred to reduce interference. Select a color-coded cable like red for easy identification in dense installations. Inspect connectors periodically and replace the cable if the jacket or terminations show visible damage.
