Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-22066 7m Cat6 U/UTP wit

The ShiverPeaks BS08-22066 is a 7m Cat6 networking cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections in home and office environments. This U/UTP cable construction provides an unshielded twisted-pair core with an overall unshielded jacket, offering consistent signal integrity for gigabit networks. Fitted with standard RJ-45 plugs and gold-plated contacts, the cable supports data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and is suitable for typical Cat6 applications where stable wired connectivity is required.

Advantages

The cable combines Cat6 performance with a flexible 7 metre length that accommodates moderate distances between devices without the need for patch panels or extenders. Gold-plated contacts ensure low contact resistance and improved corrosion protection, while the white jacket provides a neutral appearance that integrates easily into residential or office setups. U/UTP construction balances cost and performance for common networking tasks.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops and network printers to a router or switch
• Wired connections for smart TVs, set-top boxes and game consoles
• Small office or home office (SOHO) wired network segments
• Temporary or semi-permanent workstation cabling where 7 m length is appropriate

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Cable length: 7 metres
• Conductor configuration: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Jacket colour: white

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your router, switch or modem and the other into your device's Ethernet port. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable; route the cable along walls or under furniture where it will not be crushed by doors or heavy objects. After connecting, verify link speed and network status on your device to confirm gigabit negotiation if supported by both ends.

Recommendations

For optimal signal quality, keep the cable clear of large sources of electromagnetic interference such as unshielded power cables, large transformers, or electric motors. Use the 7 m length for direct point-to-point runs in rooms or between adjacent office spaces. If installation requires longer runs or high-interference environments, consider higher-grade shielding or structured cabling solutions appropriate for Cat6 or above.
