Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-35081 15m Cat7 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-35081 15m Cat7 U/UTP networking cable is designed to provide high-speed wired connectivity for home and office networks. Supporting data rates up to 10000 Mbit/s, this 15-metre cable uses Cat7 specifications with U/UTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to ensure reliable signal transmission and reduced contact resistance. The blue jacket offers clear visual identification in patch panels and cabling runs while maintaining compatibility with standard Ethernet equipment.

Advantages

The cable’s Cat7 construction supports high bandwidth and improved crosstalk performance compared with lower-category cables. U/UTP shielding helps limit external electromagnetic interference in typical indoor environments, and the gold-plated RJ-45 plugs provide better corrosion resistance and consistent contact quality. At 15 metres length the cable balances reach and signal integrity for mid-range runs without the need for additional hardware.

Suitable for

• Connecting network switches, routers and patch panels within home and small office environments
• Wired connections for desktop PCs, NAS devices and network printers
• High-bandwidth applications such as media streaming, online gaming and large file transfers
• Structured cabling where visible color coding is helpful for identification

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 15 metres
• Shielding type: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pairs with overall unshielded)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Color: blue

How to use

Route the cable between network devices avoiding sharp bends and high-interference sources such as large mains transformers or fluorescent lighting. Insert the RJ-45 connectors fully into the device ports until a click is felt. For wall runs or permanent installations, secure the cable at intervals with appropriate clips or cable management, ensuring bend radius is maintained. Test the connection with a network tester or by verifying link/activity LEDs on connected devices.

Recommendations

For consistent performance, avoid running this U/UTP cable in parallel with mains power cables and keep it within recommended bend radius limits. Use cable organizers for tidy installations and perform periodic checks of connector condition to prevent contact issues.
