Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-400013 grijs 0,25m Cat8 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-400013 Grey 0.25m Cat8 S/FTP networking cable is a short, high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding data links. Constructed to Cat8 standards with S/FTP (shielded foil around pairs plus overall braid) shielding and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, this 0.25 metre cable supports very high data transfer rates and is intended for use where minimal signal loss and strong electromagnetic interference protection are required.

Advantages

This Cat8 S/FTP cable provides high bandwidth capacity and improved protection against crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference thanks to its individual foil shielding and overall braided shield. The short 0.25 m length minimises latency and signal attenuation for direct device-to-device connections. Gold-plated contacts promote reliable electrical contact and corrosion resistance, while the robust connector housing and cable construction are suitable for dense networking environments and frequent plug cycles.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between network devices and switches in server racks
• High-speed connections for network interface cards (NICs) and routers
• Data centre short-reach links and cabinet-to-cabinet connections
• Applications requiring strong shielding against EMI, such as near electrical equipment

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual foil per pair + overall braid)
• Length: 0.25 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contacts: Gold-plated
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Color: Grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network device and the other end to the corresponding port on the switch, router or network card. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Due to the short length, position connected devices close to each other to avoid strain on the cable or the connector. Verify link status via device indicators or network diagnostics after connection.

Recommendations

Use this short Cat8 S/FTP cable for direct, short-distance connections where high throughput and strong shielding are necessary. Avoid excessive bending at the connector ends and maintain proper cable routing to preserve shielding effectiveness and connector integrity.
