Key specifications

How to use

Place the scanner on a stable, level surface and connect it to power and a compatible computer following the user manual. Load documents into the 80-sheet automatic document feeder, selecting the desired paper path (U-turn for standard stacks or Straight Path for thick or plastic cards). Configure scan settings such as resolution, colour mode and image-processing options in the supplied capture software, then start scanning. For long documents, ensure correct alignment and use the Straight Path when required.

Recommendations

Use the Straight Path for plastic or embossed ID cards and long documents up to 3 m, and select the U-turn Paper Path for standard paper stacks. Regularly clean the CIS sensor and rollers according to the maintenance instructions to maintain image quality and feeding reliability. For large daily volumes, follow the recommended duty cycle and perform routine checks on the automatic document feeder to prevent jams.

8/10

Eindoordeel: This is a highly capable scanner, which in some ways may be overspecified for the job. It seems unlikely anyone will approach its specified 13,000 daily duty - equivalent to 27 pages a minute sustained over a working day. That said, the DR-M1060ii combine...

Pluspunten

Very compact
Fast
Good image quality

Minpunten

A3 input tray is compromised
Software takes a bit of tweaking
