Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-40151 blauw 1,5m Cat8.1 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-40151 Blue 1.5m Cat8.1 S/FTP networking cable is designed for demanding wired Ethernet environments that require high throughput and reduced electromagnetic interference. Built to the Cat8.1 specification with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts, this 1.5 m cable supports high-frequency data transmission while maintaining physical durability and stable contact performance. The cable's blue jacket provides clear visual identification in structured cabling installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually braided shielding around each pair to minimize crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity in crowded or electrically noisy installations. Compliance with the Cat8.1 standard enables support for higher bandwidths and lower return loss compared with lower-category cables, while gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide corrosion resistance and consistent conductivity over time. The 1.5 m length is convenient for patching between nearby devices or connecting switches and wall outlets without excess slack.

Suitable for

• High-speed data centers and server rooms
• Professional networking setups requiring shielded cabling
• Connections between switches, routers and patch panels
• Home offices and workstations needing future-proofed wired Ethernet

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 1.5 m
• Color: Blue
• Typical use: High-frequency, high-bandwidth Ethernet connections

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connectors into the Ethernet ports of your networking devices, ensuring secure insertion until the latch clicks. Use the 1.5 m cable to make short-distance connections between switches, routers, patch panels or wall outlets and devices. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling to preserve the internal shielding and pair geometry; maintain a bend radius appropriate for the cable diameter. For installations where shielding continuity is important, ensure that connected equipment or patch panels provide proper grounding.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat8.1 S/FTP cable in shielded or grounded environments and pair it with compatible high-performance networking hardware. Avoid routing the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and keep connector contacts clean to maintain reliable connections.
