Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-42042

The ShiverPeaks BS08-42042 is a 3 m Cat8.1 networking cable with U/FTP shielding, engineered for high-speed data transfer and stable Ethernet connections. It supports data rates up to 40000 Mbit/s and is fitted with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to ensure reliable contact and reduced signal loss. The cable's yellow jacket provides clear visual identification in dense cable runs and professional installations.

Advantages

The U/FTP shielding minimizes crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, improving signal integrity for demanding applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts resist corrosion and maintain consistent performance over extended use. The Cat8.1 specification allows for higher bandwidth and lower latency compared with lower category cables, while the 3 m length offers flexibility for typical patching and short link requirements. The cable construction supports professional networking environments where durability and performance are required.

Suitable for

• High-speed server and switch connections in data centers and server rooms
• Patch panels and rack-mounted networking equipment
• High-bandwidth workstations, media production and 4K/8K streaming setups
• Short-distance backbone links and aggregation points within network racks

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Length: 3 m
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall unshielded with individually foiled pairs)
• Maximum data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: yellow

How to use

Connect the RJ-45 plugs to compatible Ethernet ports on switches, routers or network interface cards, ensuring secure insertion until the connector latch clicks. Route the 3 m cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain bend radius recommended for high-category cables to preserve performance. For installations in racks or patch panels, label both ends if needed for easier identification and maintenance. Periodically inspect connectors and jacket for physical damage and replace the cable if degradation is observed.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat8.1 cable for short, high-bandwidth links within racks or between adjacent network devices. Avoid running the cable in close parallel alongside high-voltage power lines to reduce potential interference, and ensure proper routing to maintain the cable's bend radius and shielding effectiveness.
