Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75511-0.25G-SET5

The ShiverPeaks BS75511-0.25G-SET5 is a 0.25 m Cat7 networking cable designed for short patch connections where high shielding and signal integrity are required. Featuring S/FTP construction and RJ-45 connectors with gold plating, this green cable is intended to support high-speed Ethernet links while reducing crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. Its short length makes it suitable for linking devices within racks, patch panels, or desktop setups without excess cable slack.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides improved protection against both internal crosstalk and external EMI, helping to maintain stable data transfer rates. Category 7 specification supports higher bandwidths and tighter performance margins than earlier Ethernet categories. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs enhance contact reliability and corrosion resistance, which contributes to consistent signal transmission over time. The compact 0.25 m length minimizes clutter in dense networking environments and offers neat cable management.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between network switches, routers and servers in data cabinets
• Connections from patch panels to active equipment in telecom racks
• Desktop or workstation setups where minimal cable length is required
• High-speed Ethernet links in home or office networks requiring reduced interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Length: 0.25 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foil around each pair plus braided overall shield)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Green

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 plug firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port on each device until the latch clicks. Ensure both ends are fully seated to establish a reliable connection. Use the cable for short interconnects such as patch panel-to-switch or switch-to-device links. For sealed or tight ports, align the plug carefully and avoid forcing the connector. When routing, avoid sharp bends and maintain the cable's natural curvature to preserve shielding integrity.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this 0.25 m Cat7 cable in short-run applications inside racks or desktop setups and pair it with properly grounded equipment to maximize shielding effectiveness. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines for extended distances and check connector seating periodically in high-traffic installations.
