Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75550-R rood 50 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75550-R Red 50 m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is designed for high-performance Ethernet installations that require reliable data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference. This Cat7 cable supports advanced shielding with S/FTP construction, combining an overall braided screen with individually foil-shielded pairs to minimise crosstalk and external noise. The cable comes terminated with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts to improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance while maintaining consistent signal transfer over a 50 metre length.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding provides enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference and alien crosstalk compared with unshielded or partially shielded alternatives. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer better conductivity and longer contact life. The 50 m length is suitable for medium-distance runs in residential or commercial spaces, and the red jacket helps with visual identification and cable management in multi-cable deployments. The cable’s Cat7 designation indicates support for higher frequency ranges useful for demanding network environments.

Suitable for

• Wired home networks and smart home device connections
• Office LAN installations and structured cabling segments
• Server room and network closet patching where shielded cabling is required
• High-bandwidth applications such as large file transfers and real-time video streaming

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7 suitable for high-frequency Ethernet applications
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braided screen with foil-shielded twisted pairs
• Length: 50 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 terminated on both ends
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Conductor and pair structure: Twisted pairs designed to reduce crosstalk
• Outer jacket colour: Red for easy identification

How to use

Route the cable through cable trays, conduits or along walls as required for your installation. Ensure both ends are gently inserted into the RJ-45 ports until the latch clicks to secure the connection. When connecting to equipment that requires shielded cabling, confirm that connected devices or patch panels provide appropriate grounding to maintain the effectiveness of the S/FTP shielding. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force to preserve cable integrity and signal performance over the full 50 metre length.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat7 S/FTP cable in conjunction with shielded connectors, patch panels and grounded network equipment. Keep the cable run clear of large electrical motors and power lines to minimise interference. For long-term installations, label both ends and maintain gentle bend radii according to cabling best practices.
