Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75715-AR rood 5m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75715-AR Red 5m Cat6a S/FTP is a 5-metre Ethernet cable designed for high-speed network connections. It conforms to the Cat6a standard and uses S/FTP shielding to minimise electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this red cable is intended for use in structured cabling, home networks, and office installations where a clear visual identification and reliable data transmission are required.

Advantages

The Cat6a specification supports higher bandwidth and improved performance compared with earlier categories, suitable for demanding network environments. S/FTP shielding adds protection against external interference by combining an overall foil shield with individually shielded twisted pairs, which helps maintain signal integrity over the full 5-metre length. The fitted RJ-45 connectors provide standardized connectivity compatible with common networking hardware. The red outer jacket offers easy visual identification for cable management.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and modems in home or office networks
• High-speed ethernet links for data transfer and streaming
• Temporary or permanent patch connections in server rooms and structured cabling
• Applications requiring reduced interference and stable signal quality

Key specifications

• Length: 5 metres
• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually foiled pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Outer colour: Red

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to your network device (for example a router, switch or network interface on a PC) and the other connector to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference, and use cable management accessories if required to keep runs tidy and prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the ShiverPeaks Cat6a cable for links up to its specified length, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension, and separate it from high-power electrical cables where possible to reduce potential interference. Verify network settings and hardware capability to take advantage of Cat6a bandwidth.
