Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75715-HB blauw 5m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75715-HB Blue 5m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable provides a balanced combination of performance and durability for wired Ethernet connections. Designed to meet Cat6 standards, the cable supports high-speed data transfer and maintains signal integrity through S/FTP shielding. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 plugs featuring gold-plated contacts to improve conductivity and resist corrosion, and the 5 meter length offers flexibility for typical home and office layouts. The blue jacket gives a clear visual identification for network organization and cable management.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding (overall foil plus individually screened pairs) reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, helping to maintain consistent throughput in environments with multiple cables or electronic devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide reliable electrical contact and lower contact resistance over time. The cable’s Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidths and more stable performance compared with lower-category cables. A flexible outer jacket and standard connector format make the cable easy to install and compatible with common network equipment.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections for home networks and small office setups
• Connecting PCs, routers, switches, and networked peripherals at distances up to 5 meters
• Environments where reduced interference and improved signal integrity are required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance level suitable for Gigabit Ethernet
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 5 meters
• Color: Blue outer jacket for easy identification
• Cable construction: Twisted pair design for reduced crosstalk

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of your device and the other to your router, switch, or network outlet. Ensure both ends are fully inserted until the connector latches to secure a stable physical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends or compression and keep it separated from sources of strong electromagnetic interference when possible. For rack or wall installations, use appropriate cable management accessories to maintain bend radius and prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for Gigabit Ethernet applications and in mixed-cable environments where shielding reduces interference. Avoid excessive bending near the connector ends and prevent prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures to preserve jacket integrity and connector contact quality.
