Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75715-HS 5m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75715-HS 5m Cat6 S/FTP is a black networking cable designed for high-speed Ethernet connections. It supports Category 6 performance with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, this 5‑metre cable is intended for reliable data transfer between network devices in home and office environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding improves signal integrity in electrically noisy environments and helps maintain consistent throughput over the cable length. Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidth and improved performance compared to earlier cable categories. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide corrosion resistance and stable connectivity for repeated plug cycles. The 5 m length offers flexibility for typical desktop, router-to-switch, or equipment-to-wall socket connections while the black jacket blends discreetly into most setups.

Suitable for

• Wired Gigabit Ethernet connections between routers, switches and computers
• Streaming high-definition media and online gaming with reduced packet loss
• Office network patching and structured cabling in small to medium workspaces
• Connecting networked peripherals such as NAS units, printers and IP cameras

Key specifications

• Cable type: Category 6 (Cat6)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Black

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the LAN port of your router, switch or computer and the other connector into the corresponding device port. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure mechanical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends, kinks or heavy compression which can degrade signal quality. For optimal performance, keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines and sources of strong electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for installations requiring consistent Gigabit throughput and improved EMI immunity. Replace or inspect the cable if connectors become loose or if the jacket shows visible damage; damaged shielding may affect performance. For longer runs or structured cabling beyond 100 metres, consult cabling standards and consider intermediate network hardware such as switches or repeaters.
