Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75730-A 30m Cat6a S/FTP grijs

The ShiverPeaks BS75730-A 30m Cat6a S/FTP Grey network cable is designed for high-speed wired connections where reduced interference and consistent signal quality are required. This 30 metre Cat6a cable supports higher bandwidth and improved crosstalk protection compared with lower category cables, and its S/FTP shielding (overall foil with individually braided shields per pair) helps maintain stable performance in environments with potential electromagnetic or radio-frequency interference. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and finished in a neutral grey, the cable is suitable for visible installations in home offices, workstations, and structured cabling runs.

Advantages

The cable’s Cat6a specification provides reliable support for 10 Gigabit Ethernet at shorter distances and improved margin over Cat6 for high-bandwidth applications. S/FTP shielding reduces near-end crosstalk and external EMI, which improves signal integrity in installations near power lines or other electronic equipment. The 30 m length offers flexibility for desktop-to-switch connections, inter-room links, or connecting networked devices without relying on wireless links. Durable RJ-45 connectors ensure a stable mechanical and electrical connection for repeated use.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links within homes, small offices, and data closets
• Connecting switches, routers, network-attached storage (NAS), and desktop PCs
• Structured cabling runs where shielding is needed to limit interference
• Workstations and media devices that require stable wired connections for streaming or large file transfers

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a (augmented)
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall foil with individually braided shields per pair
• Length: 30 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Grey
• Supports: Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet at applicable distances
• Conductor type: stranded or solid conductor suitable for patching and structured cabling (see installation requirements)

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your networking device (switch, router, or wall outlet) and the other end to the target device such as a PC, NAS, or media player. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. When routing the cable, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain bend radii recommended for Cat6a cabling and avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines for extended lengths. For permanent installations, follow local cabling standards and verify performance with appropriate network testing tools after installation.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP cable in installations where EMI or crosstalk may affect link quality. Choose shielded patch panels and properly grounded terminations when deploying shielded cabling to ensure the shielding functions effectively. For long-term reliability, secure the cable with appropriate clips and avoid kinking or crushing.
