Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 15m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 15m networking cable provides a 15-metre connection designed for high-speed Ethernet networks. Constructed to Cat6 specification with S/FTP (Screened Foiled Twisted Pair) shielding and fitted with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts, this cable supports reliable data transmission for wired LAN environments in homes, offices and small server setups. The black outer jacket offers a discreet appearance while the cable construction reduces crosstalk and electromagnetic interference for improved signal integrity.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines overall screening with individually foiled pairs to reduce external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve corrosion resistance and maintain stable contact over repeated plug cycles. At 15 metres length, the cable balances reach and performance for typical room-to-room or desk-to-rack connections without the need for intermediate patch panels. The Cat6 rating supports higher bandwidths and better performance compared with older cable categories.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet and high-speed LAN connections
• Home networks connecting routers, switches and NAS devices
• Office workstations, VoIP phones and networked printers
• Temporary setups for events, demonstrations or testing

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall screen with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 15 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Outer jacket colour: Black
• Conductor arrangement: Twisted pair

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (router, switch, PC or NAS) and the other end to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources such as unshielded power transformers or fluorescent ballasts to maintain optimal signal quality. For wall or ceiling routing, use appropriate clips or cable management accessories to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use the ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 15m cable for wired Gigabit connections where reduced interference and reliable throughput are important. For best results, pair with Cat6-compliant network hardware and avoid excessive bending or kinking. If running the cable near heavy power cabling or industrial equipment, increase separation or use additional conduit to minimise electromagnetic interference.
