Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 7,5 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 7.5m networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission over local networks. With S/FTP construction and RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts, the cable reduces electromagnetic interference and maintains consistent signal quality across a typical home or office run. The 7.5 meter length provides flexibility for connecting devices across rooms or between networking equipment while the grey jacket offers a neutral, unobtrusive appearance.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around each pair plus an overall foil shield minimizes crosstalk and external noise, improving connection stability for demanding applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance conductivity and resist corrosion for long-term performance. The Cat6 standard supports higher bandwidth and stricter performance parameters than earlier categories, enabling faster data rates and lower latency where supported by connected equipment.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between routers, switches, and PCs in homes and small offices
• Streaming high-definition video and audio over LAN
• Online gaming and video conferencing requiring low-latency links
• Structured cabling runs within a single room or between adjacent rooms up to 7.5 meters

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foil around pairs with overall shield)
• Length: 7.5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Color: Grey jacket
• Suitable bandwidth: up to Cat6 performance (supports Gigabit Ethernet and suitable for higher-frequency signaling within Cat6 limits)

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your router, switch, or modem and insert the other connector into the Ethernet port of your computer, gaming console, smart TV, or other network device. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp kinks; maintain gentle curves and secure with cable clips or ties if needed to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable separated from high-power electrical wiring and large sources of electromagnetic interference. When used in structured cabling, avoid excessive bundling with unshielded cables; if running near heavy machinery or large electrical installations, choose appropriate routing or additional shielding. Test link speeds after installation to verify expected throughput.
