Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Helos Cat 8.1 3,0 m F/FTP dubbel afgeschermd getwist paar

ShiverPeaks Helos Cat 8.1 network cable, 3.0 m length, features F/FTP topology with individually foil-shielded twisted pairs and an overall foil shield providing double shielding. Designed to meet Cat 8.1 performance, this 3.0 m patch cable is intended for high-frequency Ethernet applications and environments where reduced electromagnetic interference and crosstalk are required. The cable is full-copper with a low-smoke, halogen-free (LSZH) jacket and terminated with gold-plated connectors, supporting modern high-speed Ethernet link requirements.

Advantages

Double shielding (individual pair foil plus overall foil) offers improved protection against EMI and inter-pair crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives. The full-copper conductor construction maintains signal integrity for high data rates, while gold-plated connector contacts enhance corrosion resistance and stable electrical contact. The 3.0 m length provides flexibility for connecting equipment in racks, server cabinets or desktop setups without excess cable slack. The LSZH jacket reduces smoke and toxic gas generation in case of fire, making the cable suitable for installations with safety and regulatory considerations.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and server rack interconnects
• LAN backbone and switch-to-switch connections requiring shielded cabling
• High-speed home or small office networks using Cat 8.1-rated links
• Environments with elevated electromagnetic interference where shielded cables are preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 8.1
• Length: 3.0 m
• Topology / shielding: F/FTP (individual foil shielding for each twisted pair plus overall foil)
• Conductor material: full copper
• Conductor size: AWG 26 (twisted pair specification)
• Jacket: LSZH (low-smoke, halogen-free)
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts (50 µin specified plating thickness)
• Wiring: 1:1 assignment according to EIA/TIA 568B
• Designed for 25Gbase-T and 40Gbase-T applications

How to use

Connect one end of the ShiverPeaks Helos Cat 8.1 cable to the RJ45 port of your network device and the other end to the corresponding port on the switch, router or patch panel using the standard 1:1 EIA/TIA 568B wiring. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to secure the cable. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and excessive mechanical stress; maintain bend radius recommendations typical for AWG 26 twisted-pair cables to preserve performance. For rack installations, secure the cable with appropriate cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Use this F/FTP Cat 8.1 cable in shielded or grounded network environments to maximize EMI protection. Avoid running the cable in direct parallel alongside high-power electrical cabling without adequate separation. Inspect connectors periodically for corrosion or damage and replace the cable if the jacket or shielding is compromised.
