Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks RJ45/RJ45 Cat6 15m

The ShiverPeaks RJ45/RJ45 Cat6 15m networking cable is a 15-metre S/FTP shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable wired connections in home and office environments. It uses Cat6 specification to support higher bandwidth and reduced crosstalk compared with earlier cable categories. The cable is finished in grey and fitted with gold-plated RJ45 connectors to improve contact reliability and reduce signal loss during data transmission.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides improved protection against electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, supporting stable network performance over the full 15 m length. The gold-plated contacts enhance conductivity and corrosion resistance for a longer usable life. The Cat6 classification supports higher data rates and is suitable for common Ethernet standards used in contemporary networks.

Suitable for

• Wired internet connections between router and desktop or laptop
• Connecting network switches and patch panels in small office setups
• Streaming, online gaming and large file transfers where stable bandwidth is required
• Structured cabling runs where S/FTP shielding is preferred to reduce interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 15 m
• Connectors: RJ45 to RJ45
• Contacts: Gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Insert one RJ45 connector into the network port of a router, switch or computer and the other end into the corresponding device port. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure physical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and avoid running parallel to high-voltage mains cabling to minimise potential interference. For best performance, keep cable length within the specified 15 m and check connectors for secure seating if link issues occur.

Recommendations

For optimal network performance, use the cable for gigabit Ethernet or lower-speed links and in environments where S/FTP shielding helps reduce interference. Avoid excessive bending radii and repeated sharp pulls on connectors. When installing in permanent or semi-permanent setups, secure the cable with cable ties or clips and maintain separation from power cables to preserve signal integrity.
