Netwerkzender & -ontvanger TP-Link AX1800 Wi-Fi 6

The TP-Link AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 range extender RE600X expands home wireless coverage and improves throughput with support for 802.11ax (WiFi 6). It offers combined dual-band performance up to 1201 Mbit/s, internal antennas and a single Gigabit Ethernet port for reliable wired connections. The device can operate as a range extender or as an access point when an Ethernet cable is connected, and it integrates with OneMesh routers for seamless roaming under one network name.

Advantages

WiFi 6 delivers higher data throughput and lower latency compared with previous Wi-Fi generations, with 1024-QAM enabling about 25% faster data rates. OFDMA increases network efficiency by serving multiple devices simultaneously and reducing waiting time. Beamforming concentrates signal energy toward connected devices to improve range and performance. One Gigabit Ethernet port supports wired devices and use as a 2×2 MIMO dual-band access point. OneMesh compatibility allows unified SSID roaming for uninterrupted coverage.

Suitable for

• Extending home Wi‑Fi coverage across multiple rooms
• 4K video streaming and lag-free online gaming with wired or wireless clients
• Homes with many connected devices needing improved capacity
• Converting a wired Ethernet point into a dual‑band wireless access point

How to use

Plug the RE600X into a power outlet within range of your existing router, then follow the TP‑Link Tether app (Android/iOS) or web interface to connect it to your Wi‑Fi network. For OneMesh operation, pair the extender with a compatible OneMesh router to enable a single network name and seamless roaming. To use Access Point mode, connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the extender’s Gigabit port; the device will broadcast a dual‑band Wi‑Fi network in 2×2 MIMO configuration.

Recommendations

Place the extender midway between your router and the area with weak signal, avoid large metal obstructions and thick concrete walls, and keep firmware updated via the Tether app to maintain security and performance.
