Novoflex NEX/CO camera-objectiefadapter

The Novoflex NEX/CO camera lens adapter enables mounting Canon FD and other Canon-compatible lenses onto Sony NEX (E-mount) mirrorless cameras. Constructed with a durable black finish and a 4.2 cm outer diameter, the adapter provides a precise mechanical connection between lens and camera body, allowing manual focus and aperture control while preserving the optical properties of the attached lens.

Advantages

The adapter offers a robust metal construction that ensures reliable lens alignment and long-term durability. It preserves the original lens optical characteristics because there are no additional glass elements, and the simple mechanical interface keeps the adapter compact and lightweight. Its design provides a secure fit on both lens and camera mount, reducing play and maintaining consistent flange distance for accurate focusing.

Suitable for

• Photographers who want to use Canon manual-focus lenses on Sony NEX / E-mount cameras
• Portrait, street and landscape photography with legacy glass
• Videographers seeking manual aperture and focus control with adapted lenses
• Users expanding their lens collection without purchasing native E-mount optics

Key specifications

• Mount type (camera side): Sony NEX / E-mount compatible
• Mount type (lens side): Canon FD / compatible Canon lens mount
• Material: metal construction with black finish
• Outer diameter: approximately 4.2 cm
• Optical elements: none (mechanical adapter only)
• Supports manual focus and manual aperture control
• Weight: lightweight, compact form factor

How to use

Attach the adapter to the rear of the Canon-compatible lens by aligning the mount indicators and turning until it locks. Then align the adapter with the Sony NEX camera mount and rotate until the adapter clicks into place. Set the camera to allow use of manual lenses if required in the camera menu, and use manual focus and aperture settings on the lens. Confirm secure mechanical connection before shooting and verify accurate focus using the camera’s focus assist tools or magnification.

Recommendations

For best results, use lenses that perform well at the intended aperture and check for infinity focus on the camera. Because the adapter does not transmit electronic signals, enable manual exposure modes or use aperture-priority with lens-set aperture. Handle the adapter and lenses carefully to avoid dust entering the camera body when changing optics.
