Passieve PA-box Omnitronic M-1230 30 cm 300 W

Omnitronic M-1230 is a passive 2-way PA monitor with a 30 cm (12") woofer and a 300 W RMS power rating. Housed in a robust wooden cabinet with a scratch-resistant black felt covering and steel protective corners, the speaker is designed for stage use and offers powerful, dry bass reproduction via a bass-reflex enclosure and vertically arranged drivers. It requires an external amplifier and provides standard SPK connector compatibility for integration into PA systems.

Advantages

The M-1230 combines a large mid/high horn with a dedicated voice-coil driver and a passive 2-way crossover to deliver balanced midrange and clear highs. Its sturdy wooden enclosure and protective steel corners increase durability for live use, while the bass-reflex design yields voluminous low-frequency output. The vertical driver arrangement and 8 Ω impedance make the monitor suitable for a wide range of stage setups.

How to use

Connect the Omnitronic M-1230 to a compatible external amplifier using the SPK socket, observing correct polarity and the speaker's 8 Ω impedance. Place the monitor on stage with the driver axis aimed toward the performer for optimal monitoring. Adjust amplifier output and any mixing console sends to achieve the desired level without exceeding the speaker's rated power to avoid damage.

Recommendations

For reliable operation during live events, use an amplifier with appropriate power headroom (matching nominal RMS power) and protect the speaker from moisture and mechanical shocks. Position the monitor to minimise feedback and maintain adequate ventilation around the bass-reflex ports.
