Patchkabel Equip Cat.6 RJ-45 U/UTP 15m geel

The Equip Cat.6 U/UTP Patch Cable (15 m) is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for reliable data transmission in wired networks. It features RJ-45 connectors with gold plating and supports 10GBase-T cabling technology for transfer rates up to 10000 Mbit/s. The unshielded U/UTP construction reduces interference in typical network environments while offering consistent signal quality; the cable is finished in yellow for easy identification.

Advantages

The Cat.6 construction provides higher bandwidth and an improved signal-to-noise margin compared with lower-category cables, enabling stable high-speed connections and reduced transmission errors. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure dependable contact and corrosion resistance. A 15 m length gives flexibility for longer runs within racks, offices, or home networks while maintaining support for 10GBase-T performance where distances allow.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet connections (up to 10 Gbit/s where applicable)
• Office and data center patching between switches, routers, and patch panels
• Home networks and multimedia streaming setups
• Temporary or permanent cable runs that require visible colour coding

Key specifications

• Length: 15 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Cabling technology: 10GBase-T (Cat.6, U/UTP)
• Data transfer rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Colour: Yellow
• Weight: 0.328 kg

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (switch, router, network card) and the other end to the corresponding port on the remote device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and areas of potential mechanical stress; avoid running parallel and close to strong electrical sources to minimize interference.

Recommendations

For optimal 10GBase-T performance, keep individual cable runs within recommended distance limits for Cat.6 specification and follow structured cabling best practices. Use the yellow colour to mark specific network segments or functions in rack and cabling documentation.
