Patchkabel helos 191041 Cat.6 S/FTP halogeenvrij dubbel afgeschermd paars 15 m

Helos 191041 Cat.6 S/FTP patch cable is a halogen-free, double-shielded network cable with a 15 m purple jacket designed for high-speed Ethernet connections. Constructed to Cat6 performance standards, the cable features individually foil-shielded pairs and an overall braided shield to minimize electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The halogen-free jacket reduces toxic gas emission in case of fire, making this cable suitable for use in office environments, server rooms and other indoor installations where safety and signal integrity are important.

Advantages

The double-shielded S/FTP design provides improved protection against external interference compared with unshielded cables, delivering more stable Gigabit Ethernet performance over longer runs. The halogen-free outer sheath reduces smoke and toxic emissions in fire situations and meets safety-conscious installation requirements. The 15 m length and distinctive purple color make cable routing and identification easier in structured cabling environments, while Cat6 construction supports reliable data throughput for networked devices.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in offices and data centers
• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels
• Server room and equipment rack interconnects
• High-interference environments requiring shielded cabling

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance level suitable for Gigabit Ethernet
• Shielding: S/FTP — individual foil per pair plus overall braided shield
• Jacket material: halogen-free compound
• Length: 15 meters
• Color: purple
• Conductor: twisted pairs (solid or stranded as per manufacturer typical for patch cables)

How to use

Install the patch cable by connecting the RJ45 modular plugs to the corresponding network ports on switches, routers, patch panels or devices. Ensure connectors are fully seated and secured in ports to maintain proper contact. Route the cable to avoid tight bends, sharp edges and sources of strong electromagnetic noise; maintain bend radius according to typical Cat6 recommendations. For permanent installations, label both ends to match your network documentation and verify link speed and signal quality with a network tester after installation.

Recommendations

Prefer shielded terminations and properly grounded equipment when deploying S/FTP cables to ensure the shielding works effectively. Avoid running the cable in close parallel with high-voltage power lines and replace damaged cables to maintain network performance and safety.
