The Philips DST8041/80 Steam Iron delivers powerful ironing performance with up to 80 g/min of continuous steam and a 260 g turbo steam boost to tackle stubborn creases. With 3000 W of power for fast heat‑up, a 350 ml water tank for longer ironing sessions and a SteamGlide Elite soleplate for smooth gliding and durability, this iron is designed to handle a wide range of fabrics. OptimalTEMP technology provides one safe temperature setting for all ironable garments, and the iron includes vertical steaming, motion‑sensor automatic steam, auto shut‑off and a quick calc release for long‑term performance.

Advantages

High continuous steam output (80 g/min) and a 260 g turbo boost remove deep and persistent creases from thick fabrics. The 3000 W powerbase ensures rapid heat‑up and steady performance, while the SteamGlide Elite soleplate offers durable, scratch‑resistant and easy‑to‑clean gliding. OptimalTEMP allows ironing all fabrics without temperature changes or risk of burns. A 350 ml water tank reduces refills, and features such as vertical steaming, motion‑sensing automatic steam, auto shut‑off after 8 minutes and quick calc release improve safety and maintenance.

• Everyday garments: shirts, blouses and T‑shirts
• Thicker fabrics: jeans and denim

Use continuous steam for regular creases and press the turbo steam boost for stubborn folds, especially on thicker fabrics like jeans. For hanging items and curtains, use the vertical steam function. The motion sensor automatically releases steam when you move the iron, reducing manual steam activation. After use, switch off and empty the tank if recommended in your manual.

Recommendations

To maintain performance, use the quick calc release regularly to remove limescale build‑up. For best results, iron garments in any order without pre‑sorting thanks to OptimalTEMP, and allow the auto shut‑off to cool the iron before storing.
