Power Distribution Unit Bachmann 300.005 12 AC-outlets 2U zwart grijs

The Bachmann 300.005 Power Distribution Unit provides reliable AC power distribution with 12 AC outlets in a compact 2U rack form factor. Designed for use in server racks, cabinets and AV installations, the unit combines a low-profile 45 mm height with a 2 m cable and a neutral black and grey housing to integrate into professional environments where multiple devices require mains power from a single source.

Advantages

This basic PDU delivers straightforward, dependable power delivery to multiple devices without complex management features. Its 12 outlet count allows consolidation of equipment power leads while the 2U rack size conserves vertical space. The 2 m power cord provides flexible placement options inside racks and cabinets. The compact dimensions make it suitable for installations where depth and height are limited, while the black and grey finish supports discreet integration into existing equipment racks.

Suitable for

• Server racks and network cabinets needing centralised AC power
• Small data closets and edge computing installations
• Audio-visual racks and broadcast equipment setups
• Office equipment consolidation (monitors, printers, thin clients)

Key specifications

• Number of AC outlets: 12
• Form factor: 2U rack-mountable
• Product colours: Black and Grey
• Cable length: 2 metres
• Dimensions (W×D×H): 74 mm × 790 mm × 45 mm
• PDU type: Basic (non-switched, non-monitored)

How to use

Mount the PDU into a standard 19-inch rack occupying 2U of vertical space and route the 2 m power cable to a mains outlet that meets local electrical codes. Connect device power cords to the 12 AC outlets, avoiding overloading the unit beyond the rated current of the installation circuit. Position cables to minimise strain on outlet connections and to maintain airflow within the rack. If used in dense equipment racks, plan outlet usage to balance load distribution across connected devices.

Recommendations

Use the PDU in environments with appropriate ventilation and stable ambient temperature. Verify the total power draw of connected devices and ensure the upstream circuit breaker or fused supply can safely handle the combined load. For installations requiring remote monitoring, switching or surge protection, consider a managed or protected PDU variant instead of a basic model.
