QNAP CAB-TBT315M-40G Thunderbolt-kabel 1,5 m 40 Gbit/s zwart

The QNAP CAB-TBT315M-40G is a 1.5 m Thunderbolt cable that supports data transfer speeds up to 40 Gbit/s. Featuring male-to-male Thunderbolt connectors and a black outer jacket, this cable is designed for direct connections between Thunderbolt-enabled devices such as external storage arrays, docking stations and high-resolution displays. The cable conforms to the Thunderbolt physical interface and provides a high-bandwidth link for devices that require fast data throughput and low latency.

Advantages

This Thunderbolt cable delivers up to 40 Gbit/s transfer performance over a 1.5 m length, enabling high-speed file transfers and real-time data access. Its male-to-male connector configuration ensures compatibility with typical Thunderbolt ports on computers and peripherals. The black jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for professional and home environments while providing standard mechanical protection for the internal conductors.

Suitable for

• Connecting external NVMe or RAID storage enclosures to Thunderbolt-equipped computers
• Linking docking stations and hubs to laptops or desktop workstations
• Driving high-resolution monitors that accept Thunderbolt input
• Audio/video production setups requiring low-latency, high-bandwidth links

Key specifications

• Model: QNAP CAB-TBT315M-40G (MPN: CAB-TBT315M-40G)
• EAN: 4711103083994
• Interface: Thunderbolt male to male
• Data rate: up to 40 Gbit/s
• Cable length: 1.5 m
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one male Thunderbolt connector to the Thunderbolt port on your computer and the other male connector to the Thunderbolt port on the target device. Ensure both devices support Thunderbolt at 40 Gbit/s to achieve maximum throughput; otherwise the connection will operate at the maximum supported speed of the slower device. Avoid tight bends near the connector ends and route the cable so it is not under tension. No additional drivers are required for simple data or display connections when operating with standard Thunderbolt-compatible hardware.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use the cable within its specified 1.5 m length and keep connectors free of dust and debris. Avoid exposing the cable to excessive heat, moisture or physical strain. When connecting high-bandwidth devices such as NVMe enclosures, confirm that both host and peripheral firmware support the desired Thunderbolt link speed and features.
