Reinigingsdoekjes voor glasvezelreiniging Extralink, 280 stuks, groen

Cleaning wipes for fiber optic cleaning Extralink, 280 pcs, green are disposable, pre-cut wipes designed for safe and effective cleaning of optical connectors, ferrules and end faces. These dry, lint-free wipes are intended for use during installation, inspection and maintenance of fiber optic links to remove dust, oils and other contaminants that can degrade signal quality. The green colour helps with easy identification in toolkits and field kits.

Advantages

The wipes are lint-free to prevent shedding fibers onto connector end faces, and their pre-cut format provides consistent size and handling for single-use applications. Because they are disposable, they reduce the risk of cross-contamination between connectors and simplify on-site maintenance. Their dry composition allows use alone for light cleaning and in combination with isopropyl alcohol when stronger residue removal is required.

Suitable for

• Cleaning fiber optic connectors (SC, LC, ST and similar)
• Preparing ferrules and end faces before splicing or mating
• Field maintenance and installation of fiber optic links
• Removing dust, fingerprints and light oil residues from optical surfaces

Key specifications

• Quantity per pack: 280 wipes
• Material: lint-free textile suitable for optical cleaning
• Form factor: pre-cut single-use wipes
• Colour: green (for visual identification)
• Suitable for dry use or with alcohol-based cleaning fluids

How to use

Select a clean, dry workspace and handle connectors by their housing to avoid recontamination. For routine cleaning, gently wipe the connector end face or ferrule with a single wipe using a straight, unidirectional motion. For tougher residues, apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to the wipe and repeat the wiping motion until the surface appears clean. Always allow alcohol to evaporate fully before reconnecting components and discard the used wipe after one use.

Recommendations

Store wipes in a dry, dust-free container and keep the package sealed until use. Use a new wipe for each connector to prevent cross-contamination and follow industry-standard inspection procedures (e.g., visual inspection with a fiber scope) after cleaning to verify the end-face condition prior to mating.
