Roadinger Flightcase for 2x IP PLH/PLB 420 lighting fixtures, model 31005228 is a rigid transport case engineered to carry and protect two IP PLH/PLB 420 moving-head fixtures during storage and road transport. The exterior shell is designed to resist impact and reduce moisture exposure, while the interior includes custom foam padding and dedicated cutouts that secure each fixture and its accessories. The case supports stacking and safe handling typical for touring, rental and event-technical workflows.

Advantages

The flightcase provides firm mechanical protection with reinforced corners and a robust outer surface that helps absorb shocks and abrasions. Custom internal padding minimises movement of the fixtures and prevents contact between sensitive optics and mechanical parts. Integrated handles, latches and recessed hardware enable safer lifting and stacking while reducing the risk of accidental opening. The case construction also simplifies packing and unpacking, cutting setup and teardown time.

Key specifications

How to use

Place each IP PLH/PLB 420 fixture into the corresponding foam cutout so that lenses and yokes align with the internal padding. Route and stow power cables and small accessories into the designated accessory compartments. Close the lid and engage all latches; use the lockable points if additional security is required. Lift by the recessed handles to move the case and stack carefully on compatible road cases or flight cases as needed.

Recommendations

For long-term storage, keep the flightcase in a dry, ventilated area and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Inspect foam inserts and latches periodically for wear and replace any damaged components to maintain protection. When transporting on pallets or in vehicles, secure the case to prevent shifting during transit.
