Rugzak Deuter Aircontact Lite 40 + 10 Uitgebreid volume 10 L

The Deuter Aircontact Lite 40 + 10 Expanded volume 10 L is a trekking backpack designed for multi-day hikes and extended outdoor trips. It combines a lightweight construction with durable materials and an expandable 10‑litre collar that increases carrying capacity when required. The pack features VariQuick back length adjustment and ECL hip fins to ensure a customised fit and efficient load transfer, while the Aircontact Lite full-contact back system made from open-cell foam with a central ventilation channel improves breathability and reduces strain on the spine. Multiple compartments and adjustable straps support organised packing and flexible load distribution on long trail days.

Advantages

The backpack’s lightweight yet robust build provides a balance between durability and reduced carrying weight. Variable back length adjustment and ergonomic hip fins deliver a tailored fit and efficient weight distribution to the hips. The Aircontact Lite back system with open-cell foam and ventilation channel increases airflow along the back and helps maintain comfort on sustained hikes. An expandable 10 L collar creates additional volume for extra gear, while multiple pockets and attachment points allow for organised storage and quick access to essentials.

How to use

Pack heavier items close to the spine and near the hip belt to optimise load transfer to the hips. Use the main compartment for bulk gear and the expandable collar for extra clothing or equipment when needed. Adjust the VariQuick back length to match your torso height and set the ECL hip fins so they sit flush on the iliac crest for even weight distribution. Fine-tune shoulder straps and sternum strap to stabilise the load and use compression straps to secure contents and reduce shifting while moving.

Recommendations

For best comfort and performance, set up the pack before a long hike: adjust the back length, position the hip fins correctly and distribute weight with heavy items close to the back. Use the ventilation channel for improved airflow during active use and regularly check straps and attachments for wear to maintain reliable function on extended trips.
