SAT-coaxkabel ShiverPeaks 81410-48SALUSTAKU RG6 U dubbel afgeschermd CCS, demping >80 dB

ShiverPeaks SAT coaxial cable model 81410-48SALUSTAKU is an RG6 U type cable engineered for satellite TV and broadband signal distribution. The cable features a copper-clad steel (CCS) center conductor and double shielding to reduce susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and limit signal leakage. Its construction is intended for runs between LNBs, receivers, multiswitches and wall outlets, suitable for both indoor and protected outdoor installations.

Advantages

The double-shielded design combines foil and braid layers to provide attenuation greater than 80 dB, improving immunity to external noise sources and minimizing crosstalk between adjacent feeds. The RG6 U geometry with a 1.0 mm conductor and 4.6 mm dielectric maintains characteristic impedance for stable signal transmission. The cable’s mechanical design supports typical satellite and broadband connectors and offers durable performance in common installation environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting satellite LNBs to receivers
• Distribution to multiswitches in residential and small commercial systems
• Indoor trunk and drop runs for satellite TV and DVB services
• Protected outdoor runs where enhanced shielding is required

Key specifications

• Cable type: RG6 U with copper-clad steel centre conductor
• Shielding: double shield (foil + braid) for improved EMI protection
• Attenuation: specified greater than 80 dB (shield effectiveness)
• Conductor diameter and dielectric geometry suitable for standard SAT connectors
• Intended use: satellite TV and broadband signal transmission

How to use

Strip the cable jacket and prepares the inner conductor and dielectric according to the connector manufacturer’s instructions. Use compatible F-, IEC- or SAT-type connectors designed for RG6 cable and ensure a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of heavy electrical noise; maintain recommended bend radius to preserve impedance and minimize signal loss. For outdoor exposures use appropriate weatherproofing at termination points.

Recommendations

For best performance, terminate the cable with connectors rated for RG6 and double-shielded cables, keep run lengths as short as practical, and avoid parallel routing with power cables. When installing outdoors, seal connectors and entry points to prevent moisture ingress.
