Scart-kabel ShiverPeaks 98040-20SPP, 1,5 m lengte, SCART-op-SCART audio-/videokabel

Scart cable ShiverPeaks 98040-20SPP, 1.5 m length, SCART to SCART audio/video lead is a 1.5 metre analog connection cable designed to link SCART-equipped TVs, set-top boxes, DVD players and VCRs. The cable carries standard composite video, RGB video (where supported by devices) and stereo audio signals over a single SCART-to-SCART connection, enabling straightforward integration of legacy audio/video equipment into home entertainment systems or for use in equipment testing and maintenance.

Advantages

The cable provides a single-cable solution for transmitting video and audio between SCART-capable devices, simplifying connections and reducing cable clutter. Its 1.5 m length offers a practical balance between reach and tidy installation behind AV cabinets. The molded SCART connectors ensure a secure fit and consistent signal contact for analog sources, while the shielded construction reduces interference for clearer audio and video reproduction.

Suitable for

• Connecting SCART-equipped televisions to set-top boxes and satellite receivers
• Linking DVD players or VCRs to TVs for playback and recording
• Integrating legacy RGB or composite sources into a home AV setup
• Equipment testing, diagnostics and maintenance of analog A/V devices

Key specifications

• Cable type: SCART to SCART analog A/V lead
• Length: 1.5 metres
• Signal support: composite video, RGB (device-dependent), stereo audio
• Connector type: molded 21-pin SCART plugs on both ends
• Construction: shielded cable for reduced electromagnetic interference

How to use

Connect one SCART plug to the SCART socket of the source device (for example a DVD player or set-top box) and the other plug to the SCART socket on the target device (typically a television or VCR). Ensure both devices are powered off while making connections. After securely inserting both connectors, power on the devices and select the appropriate AV input on the display device. If RGB output is required, confirm that both source and display support RGB via SCART and that device settings are configured accordingly.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable away from mains power cords and large electronic appliances to minimize interference. Use the 1.5 m length to route the cable neatly behind furniture and avoid tight bends near the connector ends. Verify device compatibility for RGB signals before relying on RGB mode, and use composite mode if RGB is not supported.
