Schroef Cimco 191228 — verzinkt staal, voor vezelplaten, 45 mm lengte, 4,5 mm schroefdraaddiameter, 1 stuk

Cimco 191228 is a single 45 mm galvanized steel screw designed for fastening fibreboard. The screw combines corrosion-resistant zinc coating with a thread geometry suited to provide reliable grip in engineered wood products such as fibreboard. Supplied as one piece, this fastener is intended for applications where a compact, durable connection is required and where the dimensions of the screw must match the material thickness and aesthetic or assembly constraints.

Advantages

The galvanized steel construction provides enhanced resistance to rust and environmental degradation compared with untreated steel, extending service life in interior and mildly humid conditions. The 4.5 mm thread diameter and 45 mm length offer a balance between holding power and reduced splitting risk in fibreboard. As a single-piece supply, this screw is convenient for small repairs, prototype assembly, or when a precise number of fasteners is needed.

How to use

Pre-drilling a pilot hole in fibreboard is recommended to avoid splitting and to ensure accurate alignment; choose a drill bit slightly smaller than the screw's core diameter. Drive the screw with an appropriate screwdriver or a powered driver at moderate speed, applying steady pressure and avoiding over-torquing which can crush the fibreboard. If used in thin panels, monitor the protrusion on the reverse side to prevent exit or damage to underlying surfaces.

Recommendations

For best results in humid or variable indoor environments, combine the galvanized screw with appropriate edge sealing or surface treatments on fibreboard. When assembling load-bearing connections, consider larger diameter or additional fasteners designed specifically for structural use to meet mechanical strength requirements.
