Serverrack Silverstone RM46-502-I Zwart ATX 1x80mm-ventilator

The SilverStone RM46-502-I is a 4U rackmount server chassis in black with front-accessible expansion slots and a front 80mm fan. It supports ATX power supplies and motherboards up to the SSI-EEB form factor, offers eight PCI expansion slots and internal mounting options for 2.5", 3.5" and 5.25" drives. The chassis provides interchangeable handle and sliding-rail positions as well as configurable internal placement for the 5.25" drive cage and PSU to suit different rack orientations and installation needs.

Advantages

The RM46-502-I delivers flexible component placement with interchangeable front and rear mounting options for the PSU and 5.25" drive cage, plus front-facing PCI expansion slots for easier access during maintenance or component swaps. It supports multi-GPU server configurations thanks to eight expansion slots and compatibility with SSI-EEB motherboards, and it accepts liquid-cooling radiators up to 280mm to improve thermal performance in dense server environments.

Suitable for

• Rackmount servers requiring front-accessible PCI slots
• Multi-GPU compute or rendering nodes (up to 4 server-grade GPUs)
• Compact 4U installations where configurable internal layout is needed
• Systems using ATX power supplies with 2.5", 3.5" and 5.25" drives

How to use

Install the chassis into a standard 19" rack and secure using the chosen rail or handle orientation. Mount an SSI-EEB or compatible motherboard, fit an ATX power supply in the chosen PSU location, and install drives into the 2.5", 3.5" or configurable 5.25" bays. Install expansion cards through the front-accessible PCI slots for easy insertion and removal. If enhanced cooling is required, install a compatible 280mm liquid radiator according to SilverStone’s mounting locations and ensure the included 80mm front fan and any additional fans or radiators are connected to the system fan headers or fan controller.

Recommendations

For stable operation in dense compute or GPU configurations, ensure adequate airflow by combining the included front 80mm fan with additional rack airflow or a compatible 280mm radiator; verify clearance for server-grade GPUs and confirm PSU length compatibility before final assembly.
