Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-64080 15m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-64080 15m Cat6 S/FTP is a 15-metre Category 6 Ethernet cable designed for structured network connections that require reliable, high-speed data transfer. The cable uses S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair) construction and comes with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts. Its grey jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for home, office, and equipment rack installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting stable signal integrity over the full 15 m length. Cat6 specification enables higher bandwidth and back-to-back performance compared with earlier category cables, while gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve corrosion resistance and contact reliability. The 15 m length allows flexible placement of devices without additional patching equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktops, switches, routers and NAS devices within offices or homes
• Wired high-speed internet access for streaming, video conferencing and online gaming
• Network patching in server rooms and equipment racks where shielding is required
• Temporary or permanent cabling runs between networked devices up to 15 metres apart

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individual pair foil)
• Length: 15 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network port of your router, switch or modem and the other end to the Ethernet port of your computer, gaming console, smart TV or network device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges; maintain gentle curves and use cable ties or clips to keep runs tidy and reduce strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to mains power lines or large electrical equipment to minimize interference. When installing in racks or conduits, leave service loops for future adjustments and avoid kinking the cable. Use compatible Cat6 components and network hardware to achieve the intended bandwidth and signal quality.
