Netwerkkabel S/CONN 5m RJ45 Cat6 S/FTP blauw

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 5m RJ45 Cat6 S/FTP Blue is a 5-meter Ethernet cable built to meet Cat6 performance requirements for high-speed wired networks. The cable uses S/FTP shielding to minimize electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while gold-plated RJ45 connectors provide reliable contact and reduce corrosion. The blue jacket identifies the cable in mixed installations and provides a durable outer layer suitable for everyday use in homes and offices.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall braided shield with individually foil-shielded pairs to enhance signal integrity in environments with multiple sources of interference. Gold-plated contacts improve long-term connectivity and maintain low contact resistance. The Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidth and improved performance compared with Cat5e cabling, making it suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and many modern network setups.

Suitable for

• Home and small office wired Ethernet connections
• Connecting routers, switches, PCs, NAS devices, and gaming consoles
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference such as near power supplies or multiple network cables

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 meters
• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid shield + foil on each pair)
• Connector type: RJ45, gold-plated contacts
• Color: Blue
• Conductor type: Copper (stranded or solid depending on factory variant)
• Supported speeds: Suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and networks within Cat6 performance limits

How to use

Plug one RJ45 connector into the Ethernet port of your router, switch or modem, and the other connector into the Ethernet port of your computer, NAS, game console or networked device. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and kinks in the cable and keep run lengths within the recommended maximum for structured cabling if integrating into permanent installations.

Recommendations

For improved network reliability, route the cable away from heavy machinery and unshielded power cables. Use patch panels or cable management clips in structured setups to prevent strain on connectors. If using in a wall or ceiling, verify the local installation standards and choose the appropriate in-wall rated variant if required.
