Netwerkkabel S/CONN Cat.6 S/FTP 0,25 m

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN Cat.6 S/FTP 0.25 m is a short patch cable designed for reliable, high-speed Ethernet connections. This Cat6 S/FTP cable provides improved signal integrity through foil and braid shielding and uses RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure stable contact and reduced corrosion. The 0.25 m length and white jacket make it suitable for tidy connections between nearby devices in home and office network setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall braid with individual pair foil shields to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting consistent Gigabit Ethernet performance. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve conductivity and long-term contact reliability. The short 0.25 m length minimizes excess cable clutter and signal attenuation for connections between adjacent network equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting a router to a wall socket or patch panel where short runs are required
• Linking network switches or patch panels in compact rack or desk installations
• Direct connections of PCs, NAS devices, or media players to nearby network ports
• Home office setups where a discreet, short cable improves cable management

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with foil around each pair)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 0.25 m
• Colour: White
• Suitable for: Gigabit Ethernet and lower latency network applications

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of the source device (for example, a router, switch or wall outlet) and insert the other connector into the target device. Ensure connectors click into place to secure the connection. Use the 0.25 m cable for short runs to keep changes in signal quality minimal and to maintain a tidy installation. Avoid sharp bends at the connector ends to preserve shielding and contact quality.

Recommendations

For best results, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable in shielded or grounded environments to maximize EMI protection. Avoid stretching the cable and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources such as large transformers or unshielded power cables to maintain optimal data transmission.
