S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP netwerkkabel oranje 7,5 m

The S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP Networking Cable Orange 7.5 m by ShiverPeaks is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for reliable, high-speed data transmission. This 7.5 metre cable implements S/FTP shielding to minimize electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and is terminated with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts for consistent conductivity. The orange jacket facilitates easy identification in patch panels, racks, or busy cable runs while maintaining professional signal integrity for demanding network environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around each twisted pair plus an overall shield improves noise rejection and supports stable throughput over longer runs. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts reduce oxidation and maintain low contact resistance. The Cat 7 specification supports high bandwidth and is suitable for gigabit and multi-gigabit connections. The 7.5 m length offers flexibility for desktop, rack-to-switch, or home-network layouts, and the colored jacket helps with cable management and fast visual identification.

Suitable for

• High-speed wired connections in offices, data centers, and home networks
• Connecting switches, routers, patch panels, and networked devices
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference
• Short- to medium-length links where clear cable identification is needed

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 7
• Shielding type: S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pairs with overall shield)
• Length: 7.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: Orange
• Typical use: Ethernet, high-bandwidth data transmission

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 terminated end to the network port of your device and the other end to a switch, router, patch panel, or modem. Ensure each connector is fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive strain, or proximity to unshielded power cables to preserve shielding effectiveness and maintain signal quality. For rack installations, secure the cable with appropriate cable ties or management accessories to prevent stress at the connector ends.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat 7 S/FTP cable in shielded or mixed environments and pair it with equipment that supports high-speed Ethernet standards. Avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines; maintain gentle bend radii and avoid kinking. Inspect connectors periodically for dust or corrosion and replace if physical damage is observed.
