USB-kabel S/CONN 13-49405 USB 3.2 Gen 2 4 m USB-C zwart

The ShiverPeaks USB cable S/CONN 13-49405 is a 4 m USB C to USB C data cable that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (also marketed as USB 3.1 Gen 2) with a maximum data transfer rate of 10 Gbit/s. Designed for linking modern laptops, tablets, docks and peripherals, this black cable provides a long-reach connection for high-speed data transfers and device-to-device communication while keeping a compact, reversible connector form factor.

Advantages

This cable offers a reliable 10 Gbit/s data throughput in a 4 m length, allowing for flexible device placement without compromising transfer speed. Both ends feature USB C connectors for reversible plug orientation and broad compatibility with current USB-C devices. Its simple black finish integrates unobtrusively into office and home setups while the USB 3.2 Gen 2 specification ensures compatibility with applications that require high-bandwidth connections.

Suitable for

• Transferring large files between computers, external drives and NAS at high speed
• Connecting USB-C docks, hubs or monitors that accept USB-C data input
• Linking laptops and tablets to peripherals such as storage devices and audio interfaces
• Workstation setups where a longer cable run (4 m) is required

Key specifications

• Connector type: USB C to USB C
• USB standard: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.1 Gen 2)
• Maximum data transfer rate: up to 10 Gbit/s
• Cable length: 4 m
• Colour: Black

How to use

Plug one USB C connector into the host device (computer, laptop or compatible hub) and the other end into the target device (external drive, dock or compatible peripheral). Ensure both devices support the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard to achieve the specified 10 Gbit/s transfer rate; otherwise the connection will operate at the highest mutually supported speed. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from heat sources and heavy foot traffic to maintain cable integrity over time.

Recommendations

For best performance, connect devices with USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and use native system drivers. When transferring large amounts of data, avoid running heavy simultaneous network or storage operations that may limit effective throughput. Inspect connectors periodically for debris and ensure secure seating to prevent intermittent connections.
