Telescoop Skywatcher MAK 90 Virtuoso 90 mm opening draagbaar

The Skywatcher MAK 90 Virtuoso is a compact Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with a 90 mm aperture designed for portable visual observing and entry-level astrophotography. Its folded optical path and long effective focal length deliver high-contrast, well-corrected images of the Moon, planets and brighter deep-sky objects while keeping the instrument small and easy to transport. The telescope includes a user-friendly mount configuration aimed at hobbyists and beginners who need quick setup and stable tracking for visual sessions and short-exposure imaging.

Advantages

The Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design provides sharp, high-contrast views with minimal coma and good edge-to-edge correction for its aperture size. The 90 mm objective balances light-gathering capability with portability, making the instrument suitable for travel and backyard observing. The included Virtuoso mount offers motorized tracking that simplifies follow-up on planetary targets and lunar observation, while the compact optical tube is convenient to store and transport.

Suitable for

• Visual observation of the Moon and planets
• Observation of bright star clusters and some brighter nebulae and galaxies
• Beginner astrophotography with planetary and lunar targets
• Portable use, travel and quick backyard sessions

Key specifications

• Aperture: 90 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain objective
• Optical design: Maksutov-Cassegrain (folded optics)
• Suitable focal length: long effective focal ratio for high magnification views
• Mount type: compact motorized alt-azimuth/equatorial-capable Virtuoso-style mount for tracking
• Portability: lightweight and compact optical tube designed for easy transport
• Intended use: visual observing and basic short-exposure astrophotography

How to use

Assemble the optical tube on the provided Virtuoso mount according to the supplied mounting points and secure the finder scope or red dot finder if included. Balance the tube and attach a suitable eyepiece; start with a low-power eyepiece to locate targets. Use the mount’s motorized tracking to follow lunar or planetary targets; for visual observing, manual fine adjustments are sufficient. For basic astrophotography, attach a planetary camera or smartphone adapter at the eyepiece holder and use short exposures to capture planetary detail. Allow the optics to reach ambient temperature before observing to reduce image distortion.

Lietojuma ieteikumi
