STANLEY BLACK&DECKER 99E intrekbaar veiligheidsmes met schroefvergrendeling, spuitgiet zinklegering greep, 5 mesposities, interne opbergruimte voor 3 mesjes, metallic grijs

On a busy construction site, a worker reaches for the STANLEY BLACK&DECKER 99E to slice through thick cardboard, open packaging, or trim drywall. This retractable safety utility knife is built around a die-cast zinc alloy handle that feels solid in the hand, with a screw-lock mechanism that keeps the blade firmly in place during heavy cuts. The contoured grip reduces hand fatigue, and the interlocking nose prevents accidental blade exposure when the knife is closed.

Why choose it

The 99E stands out for its rugged metal construction and secure blade locking. Unlike many plastic knives, the zinc alloy handle withstands drops and daily abuse, while the screw-lock ensures the blade won't slip during tough cuts. The internal storage compartment keeps spare blades close at hand, and the lanyard hole lets you tether the knife to a tool belt or workstation for quick access.

Ideal use cases

• Construction and carpentry: cutting insulation, shingles, and strapping
• Warehouse and logistics: opening boxes, cutting shrink wrap, and breaking down cartons
• General maintenance: trimming materials, scoring drywall, and cutting rope or cord

Good to know

The screw-lock mechanism requires a tool to change blades, which adds security but may be slower than tool-free designs. Always retract the blade fully when not in use and store spare blades in the handle compartment. The metallic grey finish resists corrosion and maintains a professional look even after heavy use.
