Stoomstrijkijzer Tefal SV 8156 Express Power — stoomgenerator/stoomstrijkijzer, model SV 8156

The Tefal SV 8156 Express Power is a steam generator designed to provide continuous steam for efficient garment care. Intended for domestic use, this steam iron unit combines a water tank and a dedicated soleplate to deliver steady steam output that helps remove creases from a wide range of fabrics. The device focuses on fast and regular fabric maintenance while offering controls and functions tailored to improve ironing performance and reduce ironing time.

Advantages

The Express Power steam generator produces continuous high-volume steam to penetrate fibres and smooth wrinkles more effectively than a conventional iron. Its dedicated soleplate is engineered to ensure even heat distribution and consistent glide across different textiles. The integrated water reservoir supports longer ironing sessions without frequent refills, and the unit’s steam functions help treat stubborn creases and vertical steaming tasks. Controls are designed for straightforward operation and adaptable fabric care.

How to use

Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the indicated level and switch the unit on. Allow the steam generator to heat until the ready indicator signals it is at operating temperature. Set the steam level and soleplate temperature appropriate to the fabric being ironed, starting from lower settings for delicates and increasing for heavier materials. Glide the soleplate over the fabric at a steady pace, using a steam boost for persistent creases. For vertical steaming, hold the garment taut and move the steam iron slightly away from the fabric surface to refresh and remove wrinkles safely.

Recommendations

Use distilled or demineralised water if your local water supply is hard to reduce scale build-up. Empty the water tank after prolonged storage and perform descaling or maintenance as recommended in the user manual to maintain steam performance and prolong the appliance lifespan.
