Advantages

The Philips GC9660/30 delivers a balance of power and efficiency: the 2700 W heater reaches and maintains ironing temperature rapidly, while the T-ionicGlide soleplate ensures low friction and even steam distribution across fabrics. A high steam boost of 520 g/min addresses stubborn creases, and the 1.8 L water tank reduces the need for frequent refills during longer sessions. The integrated vertical steam function allows refreshing garments on hangers and treating curtains. The energy-saving design helps lower electricity use without compromising performance. The unit’s weight and dimensions are optimized for stable operation and convenient storage.

How to use

Fill the 1.8 L water tank according to the user manual and switch the station on to allow the system to reach operating temperature. Adjust the steam settings on the control panel appropriate to the fabric type; begin with lower steam and temperature for delicate materials and increase for thicker fabrics. Use the T-ionicGlide soleplate to iron garments on a flat board, applying steady, even strokes. For hanging items or curtains, activate the vertical steam function and hold the iron a short distance from the fabric while using slow upward passes. After use, switch the unit off, allow it to cool and empty the water tank if storing for an extended period.

Recommendations

Use distilled or low-mineral-content water where hard water is an issue to extend the lifetime of the appliance and reduce scale buildup. Follow fabric care labels and the product user manual for recommended temperature and steam settings. Allow the soleplate to cool before storing and empty the tank if the unit will not be used for several days to prevent stagnation.
