Strijkijzer Zelmer ZIR1515 violet 80104792P ZELMER

The Zelmer ZIR1515 Violet iron offers a combination of adjustable temperature control, strong steam performance and a ceramic soleplate that ensures smooth gliding across different fabrics. Designed for everyday home use, the appliance includes a vertical steam function for refreshing hanging garments and an anti-drip system to reduce water marks during ironing. Its ergonomic handle and compact form support comfortable handling and straightforward operation.

Advantages

The ceramic soleplate provides even heat distribution and low friction for easier movement over fabrics. Adjustable temperature settings let you match heat levels to delicate silks, cottons and heavier linens, while the steam output improves crease removal efficiency. The vertical steam option enables quick removal of wrinkles from curtains and jackets without using an ironing board. Built-in anti-drip protection decreases the risk of water stains at lower temperatures, and the iron’s ergonomic design supports extended use with less hand fatigue.

Suitable for

• Daily ironing of shirts, trousers and household linens
• Steaming hanging garments, curtains and jackets
• Treating a range of fabrics from delicate synthetics to cotton and linen
• Quick touch-ups and removal of local creases

Key specifications

• Ceramic soleplate for smooth gliding and even heat distribution
• Adjustable temperature control for multiple fabric types
• Continuous and vertical steam functions for efficient crease removal
• Anti-drip system to prevent water leakage and stains
• Compact, ergonomic body for comfortable handling

How to use

Fill the iron’s water reservoir following the manufacturer’s fill line and select the temperature appropriate for the fabric you intend to iron. Allow the iron to heat fully before pressing it to the fabric. Use the steam control to set continuous steam for regular ironing or activate vertical steam for steaming garments on a hanger. Move the iron smoothly along the fabric surface, keeping the soleplate flat and applying gentle pressure. Empty the water tank after use if storing the iron for an extended period.

Recommendations

Use distilled or demineralised water if your tap water is hard to reduce limescale build-up. Test a small, inconspicuous area when ironing delicate materials and follow fabric care labels for recommended temperature settings. Regularly descale according to usage intensity to maintain steam performance and prolong the appliance’s service life.
