Glasvezelkabel Synergy 21 S216730 1,5 m 2x LC 2x SC oranje

The Synergy 21 S216730 is a 1.5 m OM2 multimode fibre optic patch cable with LC connectors on one end and SC connectors on the other. It features a 50 µm core diameter and supports full duplex transmission for simultaneous bidirectional data flow. The cable's orange jacket provides standard multimode colour coding for straightforward identification in racks and cable trays, making it suitable for short-range links in data centre and telecommunications installations.

Advantages

This OM2 multimode fibre cable delivers stable optical performance over short to medium distances and supports high-speed data transfer in duplex configurations. The combination of LC and SC connectors enables flexible connectivity between equipment with different port types without additional adapters. The compact LC connector saves panel space while SC connectors offer robust push-pull coupling for reliable connections. The 1.5 m length reduces excess cable in confined setups and helps maintain cleaner cable management.

Suitable for

• Short-range multimode links within data centres
• Patch panels and network switch interconnections
• Telecommunications equipment with LC and SC ports
• Server rooms and rack-mounted cabinets
• Test setups and lab environments requiring OM2 performance

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM2 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 1.5 m
• Connector set: 2x LC to 2x SC (duplex)
• Jacket colour: orange (multimode standard)
• Transmission mode: full duplex

How to use

Identify appropriate LC and SC ports on your devices and ensure both ends are clean before connection. Align and insert the LC connectors into LC ports and the SC connectors into SC ports until secure. For duplex operation, match the transmit and receive pairs consistently to maintain correct signal flow. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable along cable management paths to prevent microbending or attenuation. When disconnecting, release connector latches gently to avoid damaging the ferrules or ports.

Recommendations

Use fibre cleaning tools before each connection to ensure optimal optical performance. Maintain minimum bend radius as specified for multimode fibre, route the cable to avoid sharp corners, and store spare lengths neatly coiled. For critical applications, test end-to-end attenuation after installation to verify link quality.
