Tafelrouter MERCUSYS MR80X — dualband Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax), 3000 Mbit/s, 4 externe antennes, 3 Gigabit-LAN-poorten

The Mercusys AX3000 Dual-Band Wi‑Fi 6 Tabletop Router (MR80X) delivers Wi‑Fi 6 performance with combined theoretical speeds up to 3000 Mbit/s and Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired connections. Designed for home use, it supports features such as 160 MHz channel bandwidth, OFDMA, MU‑MIMO and BSS Coloring to improve throughput, capacity and resistance to interference. Four external high‑gain antennas with beamforming and a Qualcomm Wi‑Fi 6 chipset provide stable coverage and the ability to handle many connected devices. The router also supports the WPA3 security standard and power‑saving Target Wake Time for connected mobile and IoT devices.

Advantages

Provides higher wireless throughput with Wi‑Fi 6 and 160 MHz channels for faster downloads and smoother 4K streaming. Increases network capacity and multi‑device performance via OFDMA and MU‑MIMO, and reduces neighbor interference using BSS Coloring. Four external high‑gain antennas and beamforming focus signals for better range and wall penetration. WPA3 and advanced forward secrecy improve security, while Target Wake Time helps extend battery life of client devices. A Qualcomm dual‑core chipset supports many simultaneous connections and reduces buffering and lag.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• High‑speed 4K streaming and large file downloads
• Online gaming and low‑latency applications
• Busy homes with many simultaneous Wi‑Fi devices (up to hundreds)
• Wired connections for desktop, NAS or smart TV via Gigabit LAN

How to use

Place the tabletop router in a central location to optimise coverage. Connect your internet modem to the WAN port and use Gigabit LAN ports for wired devices as needed. Configure wireless settings using the web interface or the Mercusys app: set an SSID, strong WPA3 password and enable Smart Connect if you want devices to be assigned automatically to the best band. Ensure 160 MHz channel and MU‑MIMO/OFDMA settings are enabled if supported by your clients to take advantage of higher throughput and capacity.

Recommendations

For best performance, position antennas upright and avoid placing the router near large metal objects or appliances. Use the 5 GHz band for bandwidth‑intensive tasks (streaming, gaming) and 2.4 GHz for longer range and IoT devices. Keep firmware updated and use WPA3 with a strong password to maintain network security.
