Tafelrouter Tenda MW6 dualband 2,4 GHz 5 GHz Wi-Fi 5

The Tenda MW6 is a tabletop dual-band Wi‑Fi 5 router kit designed to provide whole‑home wireless coverage. A set of three MW6 units delivers up to 6,000 sq.ft of coverage using Tenda mesh technology, supports concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz connections and offers Gigabit Ethernet ports for high‑speed wired devices. The system includes features such as Wave2.0 MU‑MIMO, beamforming, seamless roaming and automatic network optimization, and can be monitored and managed with the Tenda Wi‑Fi App.

Advantages

The mesh design with Smart Auto‑path Selection ensures stable coverage across large homes and reduces dead zones by allowing units to reconnect automatically to maintain network availability. Wave2.0 MU‑MIMO and beamforming improve multi‑device throughput and direct wireless signal strength to client devices. Pre‑paired units enable simple plug‑and‑play setup, and the Tenda Wi‑Fi App provides remote management, user access control and parental controls. The MW6 supports Gigabit Ethernet and common security standards including WPA2‑PSK and firewall protections.

Suitable for

• Large homes or multi‑room apartments (up to ~6,000 sq.ft) needing whole‑home Wi‑Fi
• Households with multiple simultaneous devices (smartphones, laptops, smart TVs, IoT)
• Users who require seamless roaming for video calls or online gaming
• Homes that prefer simple plug‑and‑play mesh networking with app management

Key specifications

• Wi‑Fi bands: Dual‑band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz)
• Top Wi‑Fi standard: Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac)
• Maximum WLAN data rate: 867 Mbit/s
• Ethernet: Gigabit Ethernet; 2 RJ‑45 LAN ports
• Security: WPA2‑PSK and firewall protections
• Coverage (3‑unit kit): up to 6,000 sq.ft
• Weight (per unit): 0.41 kg
• Color: White

How to use

Unbox the three MW6 units and place them around the home to achieve even coverage. Connect one unit to your modem via Ethernet and power all units. The devices arrive pre‑paired; after powering, allow them to form the mesh network automatically. Install the Tenda Wi‑Fi App on a smartphone to complete initial configuration, set SSID and password, and manage network settings such as guest access and parental controls. Wired devices can be connected to the Gigabit Ethernet ports for stable high‑speed links.

Recommendations

Position units centrally in each coverage area and avoid placing them inside metal cabinets or behind large obstacles. For best performance, place one unit near the modem and distribute the other units on different floors or opposite sides of the house to minimize interference and maintain strong mesh links.
