Targus HD USB4 Mobile Dock bedraad zwart

The HyperDrive USB4 Mobile Dock is a slim, portable USB4 docking station that combines HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 video outputs, 2x USB-A 10Gbps ports and up to 85W USB-C power delivery. It supports a single external 8K 30Hz display via HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 and can drive dual 4K 60Hz extended displays on devices that support MST. The compact black enclosure measures approximately 84.9 x 84.9 x 19.4 mm and is compatible with USB4, Thunderbolt 4/3 and many USB-C systems, including macOS and Windows platforms.

Advantages

This docking station provides high-bandwidth USB4 connectivity (up to 40Gbps downstream), fast file transfers through two USB-A 10Gbps ports, and flexible video output options with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4. It also delivers up to 85W USB-C power delivery passthrough to charge a host device while connected to an external 100W PD charger. The compact form factor and Gigabit Ethernet support make it suitable for mobile and desktop workflows.

Suitable for

• Connecting one 8K 30Hz monitor via HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4
• Driving two 4K 60Hz extended displays on MST-capable Windows or USB4/Thunderbolt hosts (not supported on macOS)
• Fast data transfers for external drives, cameras and high-resolution media via USB-A 10Gbps ports
• Charging a laptop or host device with up to 85W PD passthrough
• Mobile professionals needing a compact dock with Ethernet and multiple ports

How to use

Connect the dock to a host computer using its USB4/USB-C port. Attach external displays to the HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4 outputs; the dock will present a single 8K@30Hz signal or, on MST-capable hosts, dual 4K@60Hz extended displays. Plug a 100W Power Delivery charger into the dock’s USB-C PD input to enable up to 85W passthrough for charging the host. Use the two USB-A ports for high-speed data transfer and connect wired networks via the Gigabit Ethernet port.

Recommendations

For dual 4K@60Hz output ensure your host supports MST (Multi-Stream Transport); macOS does not support dual extended displays through MST on this dock. To achieve full 85W charging, connect a 100W PD-rated charger to the dock. Use quality HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 cables for optimal video performance.
