TP-Link Archer C64 wlan-router Gigabit Ethernet dualband (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz) zwart

The TP-Link Archer C64 Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 tabletop router delivers dual-band wireless connectivity with combined maximum throughput up to 1200 Mbit/s (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). Designed for home and small office environments, the Archer C64 supports Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac) and legacy 802.11 standards, provides four external antennas for improved coverage and stability, and includes four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports for high-speed wired connections. The router implements modern security protocols such as WPA3 and supports IEEE 802.1x to help maintain a secure network environment.

Advantages

The Archer C64 offers dual-band operation that separates device traffic between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to reduce interference and improve performance. Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports provide reliable wired speeds for desktops, consoles, or network-attached storage. Four external antennas enhance receiver sensitivity and extend coverage across typical residential and small office floor plans. Built-in support for WPA3 and IEEE 802.1x increases resilience against unauthorized access while remaining compatible with previous Wi‑Fi generations.

Suitable for

• Home networks requiring stable wireless coverage for multiple devices
• Small office setups needing reliable wired and wireless connectivity
• Streaming HD video and online gaming on the 5 GHz band
• Basic file sharing and local network access via Gigabit LAN

How to use

Place the router centrally in the coverage area and connect the WAN input to your modem or internet source using an Ethernet cable. Power on the device and connect client devices either wirelessly (select the appropriate 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz SSID) or via Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired devices. Access the web-based management interface or the TP‑Link management app to run the initial setup wizard, configure SSID names and passwords, select security settings (WPA3 if supported by clients), and apply firmware updates. Use the 5 GHz band for latency-sensitive tasks and the 2.4 GHz band for longer range and compatibility with older devices.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, position the Archer C64 away from large metal objects and other electronic equipment that may cause interference. Keep firmware up to date, enable WPA3 or WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode where required, and use the 5 GHz band for high-bandwidth activities such as HD streaming or online gaming. For devices with high constant throughput needs, prefer wired Gigabit connections to maintain stable speeds.
