Trancheermes Fiskars 1057539

The Fiskars 1057539 carving knife features a 21 cm stainless steel blade designed for precise, controlled slicing. Its single-piece construction and ergonomic handle provide stability and a secure grip during repeated cuts. The knife is suitable for slicing roasted meats, hams, poultry and larger vegetables; its blade length and shape support long, even strokes for thin, uniform slices. The stainless steel construction offers corrosion resistance and straightforward maintenance for regular kitchen use.

Advantages

This carving knife combines a long, narrow 21 cm blade with a comfortable ergonomic handle to improve control and reduce hand fatigue during extended use. The single-piece design increases durability and minimizes crevices where food residue can accumulate, making cleaning easier. The stainless steel blade maintains a keen edge for accurate cuts and resists staining and oxidation under normal kitchen conditions.

Suitable for

• Slicing roasted beef, pork and ham into thin, even portions
• Carving cooked poultry such as turkey or chicken
• Preparing large vegetables and fruit for presentation
• Professional kitchen tasks requiring precise, long strokes

Key specifications

• Blade material: stainless steel
• Blade length: 21 cm
• Handle: ergonomic single-piece construction
• Primary use: carving and slicing
• Maintenance: hand washing recommended for longevity

How to use

Hold the knife by the ergonomic handle with a firm but comfortable grip. Use long, steady strokes, letting the blade do the work rather than applying excessive downward force. For carving meats, stabilize the piece with a fork or holder and slice parallel to the cutting board to achieve thin, even cuts. After use, rinse with warm water and mild detergent, dry immediately and store in a knife block or protective sleeve to preserve the blade edge.

Recommendations

To maintain blade performance, sharpen periodically with an appropriate steel or sharpening system and avoid cutting on very hard surfaces such as ceramic or glass. Although the stainless steel blade is corrosion-resistant, avoid prolonged soaking and dishwasher cycles to extend the service life of the knife.
